Promotion and Protection of Biodiversity 

One of the garden goals is to promote and protect biodiversity. For this, a part of the garden has been dedicated to native plants. Carefully selected plants are grown that bloom from early spring to late fall, providing an important habitat and food source for pollinators.

ABOUT US >

DPCG is an intergenerational community garden and the first community garden in a public park in Ward 17, Toronto. It was built in fall 2013 with the support of community members and local partner agencies as well as a Walmart-Evergreen Green Grant and Councillor Shelley Carroll.
